Crypt Crawlers is a 2D roguelite dungeon crawler where you take on the role of a skeleton archaeologist exploring ancient tombs buried deep beneath a forgotten civilization. As you delve deeper, you defeat skeletal guardians and collect their bones to upgrade your own body — swap out your ribcage for extra armor, replace your arms for different attack styles, or attach a second skull for dual-casting abilities. Each run is procedurally generated with handcrafted room templates, ensuring fresh challenges while maintaining tight level design. The bone upgrade system creates a unique progression loop: every enemy defeated is a potential upgrade, making combat decisions strategic rather than purely reactive.
